Work on my second fingerless mitten has started. Here you will see how I started the project by knitting in a round with my Double Pointed Needles In the first picture, I began by casting on the required number of stitches onto one needle. I find this easier than to cast the stitches directly to 3 needles.
Next as I knit the first row, I divide the stitches evenly across the 3 needles like this:
When I get to the end of the round, I place a stitch marker and continue knitting the second row as I connect the last stitch to the first. What you see here are about 2 rows of the round. With this, I can now continue working my way up toward the palm.
