Twilight - For Movie, Halloween and Birthday Party Ideas

The Timing is Perfect for Twilight Party Ideas.

With the movie DVD being released soon and with all of us dazzled fans waiting for news about New Moon...the second book in the Saga and the next movie to be made, this is going to be a very popular party theme. The Saga was written by Stephanie Meyer and it has four books in it. The third book is Eclipse and the fourth...and final book is Breaking Dawn. The story covers a couple years in the lives of Edward Cullen...a Vampire, and Bella Swan...his human soul mate. Not only is this Vampire romance Saga a really good read, it gives us lots of reasons to have a Twilight Party!

How Good a Story is It?

I've been in a Twilight Fog since I read the books. I picked the first one up and a week later I put the final novel down, still wishing there were more to read! I think about Edward and Bella most of the time, and every day I have a new favorite character because they are all so likeable! Yes, even Rosalie! It takes awhile, but fans even warm up to Rosalie once they hear her story.

Party Ideas?

Yes, there are so many parties you can use a Twilight party ideas with. The first one that comes to mind is a Movie Party. Since the movie is being released on DVD in March you can be the first one to have a party. Just get some red soda and put some red butter on your popcorn...and maybe drizzle some melted chocolate on it too..and you are set. Movie parties don't require too much prep since the theme is the movie. You can order pizza, serve some drinks and a dessert if you like, it's an easy party to host.

Halloween Parties are Perfect for Twilight Party Ideas...with the whole Vampire thing going on. Why not have a Vampire theme Halloween Bash or A Couples Costume Party? Invite your friends to come dressed as any kind of Vampire or as a famous Vampire Couple. Alice and Jasper, Rosalie and Emmett, Carlisle and Esme, and of course, Edward and Bella. But there are more couple ideas to think about. The Volturi Vamps from Italy are great for your gory minded friends, you know, the ones who like human blood sucking versions of Vampires, rather than the mild, animal blood drinking ones.

The Volturi couples costumes can use Jane and Alec, Felix and Demetri, Heidi and Aro, or Marcus and Caius as inspirations. Or the Volturi would make a great group costume idea and so would The Cullen Clan. How about going as the human residents of Forks? The werewolves are another couples costume idea. Go as Jacob and Leah or Sam and Emily. Breaking Dawn gives us loads of couple Vampire costume ideas...you remember all the friends of the Cullen's we were introduced in the final book of the Saga. If you are really into vicious Vampires there's always James and Victoria. There are Life Size stand up cut outs of Bella, Edward, James, Victoria and Laurent to use as decorations that will make an impression. In fact, they might freak some of your party guests out! Twinkle lights have to be part of the decorations or Alice will be so disappointed! Alice, the Cullen Family party planner, just loves to use twinkle lights at all her parties.

Birthdays are Another Great Reason to Use Twilight Party Ideas.

You know your tween or teenager, the one that has read the entire Saga, will just love this party theme and so will all their friends. You can even plan 16th birthday parties around Twilight. There are some very different color schemes you can use. Decorations can use the black and red book covers, or go light with lots of flowers and twinkle lights, like Bella and Edward's wedding reception. Vampires used to be dark and evil, but after reading about the Cullen's you can go with light and bright colors too.

Whatever party theme you use make sure to include some fun games when you're planning your party. Movie parties can always fit in a trivia contest. Make your questions about the movie and the characters. Birthday and Halloween parties can use trivia too...but there's other games you can include like: Twilight Charades, Outburst, A Vampire Dress Up Relay Race, and of course with Halloween, the Costume Contest! Whatever the reason for using Twilight party ideas, you and your friends are sure to have a good time!

The Twilight Saga - Eclipse the Movie - A Choice Between Vampire and Werewolf

If you enjoy watching movies, you must be familiar with The Twilight Saga. The Twilight Saga movies are adaptations of the books written by Stephanie Meyer in the same titles. The first movie, Twilight, was reaching its success in 2008. Furthermore, the second movie, New Moon, was also following the success of the first movie in 2009. In the middle of this year, Summit Entertainment will bring Eclipse as the third movie for all fans of the Twilight Saga in throughout the world.

In this third movie, you will find that a new Victoria. In the previous two movies, the character of Victoria is played by actress Rachelle Lefevre. The new Victoria in Eclipse will be Bryce Dallas Howard, an actress that born in Chicago on March 2, 1981. She was starring in some movies such as The Village (2004), As You Like It (2006) and Lady in the Water (2006). Besides, she was also replacing Nicole Kidman in Manderlay (2005).

Some interesting things also happen during the making of this third movie. Jackson Rathbone, the actor who plays Jasper Cullen, accidentally lost his script one day, and suddenly that script got leaked on to the Internet. However, people do not need to read this script to know what will happen in the movie. People know everything about the plot clearly from the book.

Surely, Eclipse is a continuance for the previous two movies. However, the focus now is about some choices should be taken by Bella. Mysterious killings are happening in Seattle that makes the condition worse. Meanwhile, Bella once again should face dangerous situation resulted from the effort of Victoria to kill her. Bella also still have to make a choice between Edward and Jacob means that she has to choose between love and friendship. Besides, Bella also need to make a decision while her graduation is quickly approaching, namely choosing her death or life.

If you are movie lover or even a fan of The Twilight Saga, you can enjoy this movie in the middle of the year. This movie will be released in United States on 30 June 2010. While waiting for the movie, I think you can read the book first to make you know better about the movie.

The Phenomenal Success of the Twilight Saga Books

The Twilight Saga by Stephenie Meyer is all the rage among pre-teens and adults alike. The four books, in chronological order are: Twilight, New Moon, Eclipse and Breaking Dawn. With the release of the second movie in the saga, New Moon, the hype is once again refreshed. New Moon was a box office smash hit, which even exceeded the first Twilight movie at the box office. While Twilight fans wait not so patiently for Eclipse to be released, there are lots of books related to the Twilight Saga to read.

Twilight books are flying from shelves of bookstores all across the world. Of course, all the books in the series enjoy a renewed burst of sales with each release of a new book or movie. The Twilight books are centered around three main characters, Bella, Edward and Jacob. All three characters and actors are not only very talented, but very attractive; gathering a huge fan base from teenage girls and women. There is great debate amongst fans of the Twilight books as to who is better - 'Team Edward' or 'Team Jacob'.

Bella is a young high school girl who, after moving in with her father, finds herself mysteriously drawn to another student, Edward. She soon discovers that he is part of a vampire family who only drinks the blood of animals instead of humans. They of course fall in love and the rest of the series is centered around their fight to keep their love alive amongst werewolves and evil vampires.

Will their love survive the trials they must endure because of their unnatural situation? Will Bella choose Jacob, her werewolf friend, or will Edward be victorious in winning back Bella's love? Will Bella herself choose to become a vampire so she can be with Edward forever? For answers to those questions and many more, make sure you pick up the Twilight series for yourself.

In New Moon, the character of Jacob becomes more prominent as he seeks Bella's affection. A love triangle soon forms between Jacob, Edward and Bella. This truly is not your normal vampire story - certainly not a pure horror vampire story. It has such a unique, romantic twist to it; you really need to read the books or watch the movies for yourself to see why they are just so popular. Do make sure you read or watch Twilight first though, as New Moon flows on from that beautifully.

The Twilight series star three very talked about young actors, Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson (who also played in the famous Harry Potter movies) and Taylor Lautner. They play the parts of the three main characters in the book, respectively, Bella Swan, Edward Cullen and Jacob Black. In fact, if reading is your thing, you should pick up the Robert Pattinson biography "Robert Pattinson: Eternally Yours" by Isabelle Adams.

There are also many other Twilight books centered around Robert Pattinson, such as "The Robert Pattinson Album" and "Robert Pattinson Annual 2010: Beyond Twilight". There are also newly released books on Kristen Stewart, Taylor Lautner and various other books such as the New Moon movie companion and others all about Twilight. The most recent addition to the Twilight books is a novella by Stephenie Meyer called 'The Short Second Life Of Bree Tanner', based on a minor character in Eclipse. This is quite exciting for the fans of the Twilight Saga, as it leads them to hope that the Twilight Saga will indeed continue on for some time.

Honest to Goodness Twilight Movie Review

*Warning it may contain spoilers*

The Story

Twilight's plot was designed to make tweens and teenagers swoon. High school boy meets the new girl in school and they eventually fall in love. In the tradition of Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel, the guy being a vampire complicates things here. With this sure-fire plot, it's no surprise that the movie, just like the book, became a huge commercial success.

Why Did the Film Disappoint?

One of the key elements as to why this movie sucked was the casting. Robert Pattinson as Edward Cullen and Kristen Stewart as Bella Swan looked physically good together. However, their acting needs some major work! Kristen sighed every time she had to deliver a line and she fluttered her lashes for most of the film. Both mannerisms irritated me, to say the least. I don't really know if those were her own approach to the character or if director Catherine Hardwicke advised her to do it. Robert, on the other hand, did not really act like THE Edward Cullen. He seemed like a normal human being in the film. Aside from the fact that his face is powder-white and he can climb trees, there was nothing extraordinary about him at all. Also, I have to say that I did not find Rosalie Hale (portrayed by Nikki Reed) to be extremely beautiful and graceful in the movie, which was how she was described in the book.

The effects also proved to be another disappointment. Edward shimmering like a diamond in the sunlight while Bella stared adoringly at him was one of the most poignant moments in the book. I was kind of sad that Robert just looked like he was drenched in sweat in the film. They actually had to do a close-up of his chest to make it seem like he was "glistening" in the sun. However, the effect that they were aiming for was not achieved at all.

Of course, I understand that this is a low-budget movie so they cannot produce the best of everything. It is particularly harder if the books are turned into movies because they have to condense the storyline up to just three hours tops. But then, having a low budget does not excuse the Twilight people for not thinking straight. How a wheelchair-bound man such as Billy Black (played by Gil Birmingham) can ably drive a truck really escapes my logic and inconsistencies such as this one could ruin any movie.

The Good Stuff

There are still some things that saved this film from total disaster. Billy Burke as Charlie Swan, Kellan Lutz as Emmett Cullen, Ashley Greene as Alice Cullen, and Peter Facinelli as Carlisle Cullen all delivered stellar performances. They fit their respective roles and they really brought to life the characters that I loved in the book.

Another thing that I found wonderful was the setting, which was in Forks, Washington. I must say that this town is incredibly lovely and it really looks like a place where one can find romance.

My younger brother actually liked this movie but I have a theory that if one has not read the books, you will probably love this film. Even if I did not go crazy over Twilight the movie, I am still looking forward to watching New Moon. Hopefully, having a new director at the helm might do wonders for the next installment - and how I wish they will get it right next time.

Twilight Movie Review

The movie was released in the Philippines on the 26th of November. It stars Robert Pattinson as Edward and Kristen Stewart as Bella. it is based on the book by Stephanie Meyer of the same title.

At the first flick, when Bella's voice narrated the preface of the book, sudden rush of hold-tight-to-your-seat was emanated. There was instant feel of mistiness and mystery. Of course, this is a dark romance not that mushy love story all about love. duh!

The casting was way too cool. But the acting, I say not so.

The Edward in the movie seems unsure, nervous and awkward. The book's Edward is confident, perfect and cool. But he well portrayed Edward's struggle of being near Bella's scent. Besides, who could better portray considering the face, the book's Edward was devastatingly beautiful. The actor kept up with that advantage.

I can't feel the x-factor that she's in love with Edward. I mean, to those people who watched the movie yet not read the book, will wonder why she started hanging out with him after she's learned he's a vampire. There were still more on the book on how she dreamed of Edward every night, on how she really loved him in spite of his vampireness and blah, blah, blah. Okay, shut up.

The music score was great. They laid it down to every scene perfectly. Bella's Lullaby was played often in the course of the movie and that was pleasant. The production company who produced this movie obviously did not put up a gallant budget on this one to the extent that there were very obvious laps even an ordinary twilight reader like me could notice. Nevertheless, I like the movie. It's loyal to the book and it lives up to its events. It was like reading the book once again.

Jacob! My favorite character was also fit for the role. I could not wait for the next movies because of him. I anticipate Jacob struggling for Bella's love and his pain of being a werewolf. His character really puts me on my feet from the main characters' almost happy love story.

And Alice! How could i forgot my most favorite character! So beautiful, graceful and 'optimistic'. The actress was meant for the role. I like her spiky black hair and her voice, always an octave higher and seemingly music to the ears.

I like the scene where the Cullens played baseball in the clearing because the background music was my one of my favorite of the soundtracks, Supermassive Black Hole by Muse. Next would be the one where Bella first rode with Edward on his Volvo towards school. Ugh and with those shades on Edward! Who could resist?? Lucky Kristen Stewart. I mean Bella. Another is the prom where they danced the song Flightless Bird by Iron and Wine. Nice song and nice scene. Truthfully, it was made more magical when Edward carried Bella on her waist and put his toes on his feet. Bella could not dance aside from having two left feet but also because her left foot was injured by James, the antagonist.

This movie isn't just for the book readers; it's also for those who want to get a dose of Twilight's brand of heroin. Romance+Suspense=Twilight. Go!

Can't wait for the next movie NEW MOON!!!
